A test print is in some ways the most altruistic of all printed material. Its purpose is to facilitate the production of new works as well as provide insight into the strengths and weaknesses of technology it previews. The content of a test print strives for the universal and standardized to serve as a mirror for future work. Although digital printing techniques (all of which can be used to create small editions) exists everywhere in society, they are rarely used for artistic expressions.

Inkjet, laser, dot matrix, thermochromatic, risograph and digital offset are all digital printing technologies invented at different occasions and for different needs.

"Means of Printing" contains 60 different types of content printed in these 6 different digital printing methods. 360 different opportunities to predict, support and galvanize future productions.
